Why I invest in data and observability

Data pipelines are having their DevOps moment. The same cultural and technical shift toward continuous integration and delivery that transformed software operations is now happening in data infrastructure. I have seen this pattern before, and I invest in the companies building the tools for it.

Memgraph is a real-time graph database built for AI workloads. Graph databases are becoming essential infrastructure for AI. Retrieval-augmented generation, knowledge graphs, relationship-aware reasoning all depend on fast graph queries. I sit on the board. Memgraph was an early leader in what the industry now calls GraphRAG.

Groundcover is rethinking observability from the ground up. Traditional observability tools were built for a world of static infrastructure. Groundcover is built for cloud-native environments where everything is ephemeral and the volume of telemetry data makes legacy approaches unsustainable.

The companies that win in AI will not be whoever builds the biggest model. They will be whoever builds the best data pipeline. That is the layer I know. I spent my career building the infrastructure that makes systems reliable and observable. The same principles apply whether the system is a web application or an AI agent.
